What’s a Life Worth?

Standard

What is a life worth?

To end one after another.

People turned prisoner

in a land of their own and no other.

Do you not hear the cries?

or the plead of humanity?

What is it you seek?

 revenge and power?

or something else entirely?

Where do you draw the line?

It appears as though your conscience has died

The stains of innocent blood

A father, mother and child

The rubble in the palm of your hands

seems it’s what you desire

Is this the legacy you wish to leave behind?

To forever be known as the tyrant with a heart as cold as ice..
